Hanna

Hanna is a provisional psychologist, and research assistant currently employed with the Australian Catholic University. Her current area of focus is autism research. In 2023 she will be involved in projects investigating topics such as parenting autistically and the experiences of autistic young people in transitional support programs.


Hanna completed her post-graduate psychology Honours program in 2022. Her thesis centred on the lived experiences of autistic women and sensory aspects of their food and eating. Her thesis is currently under review to be published in a scientific journal.


Hanna completed her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at Australian Catholic University with a minor in Youth Work.
She has been employed as a Therapeutic Youth Worker in out of home care and currently works as a carer supporting foster care children.
Hanna also works as a Disability Support Worker and has supported clients who have a range of needs from chronic pain, mental health disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.


Hanna is also a trauma-informed yoga teacher, holding certification in Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) - an evidence-based adjunctive treatment for complex, developmental trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD. She is currently completing a further certification in trauma-informed yoga specifically targeting survivors of sexual trauma.
Hanna is currently completing her Masters of Professional Psychology at Australian Catholic University.
